Page said his decision to come out as trans came after a long journey and with much support from the LGBTQ community.

"Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot," Page announced Tuesday.

Elliot Page, who currently stars on Netflix's "The Umbrella Academy" and was formerly known as Ellen Page, came out as transgender on Tuesday.

"I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life," Page began their note shared to Twitter.
