The Hate U Give - I know I'm way late here, but I'm a hundred pages into The Hate U Give and daaaang I'm enamoured with its craft. The characters are great, the protagonist and premise are sterling, but it's the structure and pacing that have me. I'd assign this to anyone studying tonal shifts.
