Declaration Of Independence - The Constitution was ratified 6-21-1788. The Revolutionary War ended between 1783-84. The Declaration of Independence was signed 8-2-1776. We celebrate our independence on July 4th because that's when we _decided_ we would be free. 9/11 is another day to reflect on our decisions.
