John Boyega delivered an impassioned speech during a Black Lives Matter protest, after noting that his activism might hurt his career. Lucasfilm has since come out in support of the Star Wars actor, declaring him a "hero" that they stand with.

"It's about dismantling white supremacy from the ground all the way up," Boyega told BuzzFeed News after delivering an impassioned speech to the crowd.
