Police in Los Angeles County are searching for answers after Jacqueline Avant, the wife of legendary music executive Clarence Avant, was shot and killed in their Beverly Hills home. Lilia Luciano reports.

Mrs Avant, 81, was transported to hospital in the small hours of Wednesday morning after robbers broke into the couple’s home in Beverly Hills

The 81-year-old, known for her philanthropy work in the Los Angeles area, died early Wednesday morning.

"She inspired admiration, respect & affection in everyone who knew her. We are heartbroken. She will be deeply missed," the former president said on Twitter.
