There’s unproven tech in the NBA’s COVID-19 prevention plan

The NBA bought 2,000 smart rings from wearable company Oura Health as part of its COVID-19 prevention plan. The league wants to use the rings to flag anyone who might be getting sick. However, there isn’t any evidence wearables can predict illness.
