Critters Attack! tries to revive the spirit of a horror franchise at Fantasia Fest 2019

The new Critters movie premiered at Fantasia Fest 2019, but it’s a mixed bag. Colorblind casting drifts into stereotype, and fun critter gags don’t find room for obvious subtext. But there’s promise to the direction and another potential Critters sequel.
