Lonely Island director Akiva Schaffer, also of Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping fame, filled the film with animated references, Who Framed Roger Rabbit-style. But his favorite cameo is the one that pays tribute to Rescue Rangers co-creator Tad Stones.
