Beirut's residents describe apocalyptic scenes after explosion rocks city

Buildings miles away from the blast were damaged. Shards of glass filled the thoroughfares, and street lights were extinguished by its force. The people of Beirut, a city already teetering on the brink of collapse, rushed to hospitals to donate blood.
